Unpacking - #2 Hillsong Church

People waited in line. Waited in line. To get into church. What a concept.

Music, as you might imagine, was stellar. Everyone sang loudly. I met a new friend named Edith. We harmonized. There may have been some dancing.

It was Heart for the House day - think Stewardship Sunday done really well. Guest preacher was Bill Johnson of Bethel. There was so much more but here are the things he said that stuck with me.

People say: I like Jesus but not the Bible.

BJ: (incredulous silence)

People say: When I read the Bible, I don't remember what I read

BJ: I don't remember what I had for breakfast last Friday, but it still nourished my body

People say: I just fall asleep when I try to pray

BJ: I never minded when my children fell asleep in my arms.
