Fluffy Jeremias - September 2000 - February 2019

Fluffy Jeremias passed peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, February 12, 2019. He was surrounded by his mom and dad and attended by Dr. Jennifer Anderson of Coastal Pet Hospice. Wrapped in a soft blanket and rocked to sleep in a hundred-year-old chair, Fluffy was cherished to the very end. It Is Well and Take Courage (Bethel Music) played in the background. He was 18 1/2 years old.

Fluffy was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents and survived by a mom, dad and two big boys. Two big girls, three little girls and one baby boy complete his family. He also leaves behind his puppy family, Lola and Ivory Mae, along with his dear buddies, Tucker, Otis and Riggs. Fluffy was a friend to many, many humans as well. He lived in Wilmington, North Carolina all his life except for two years spent in Frisco, Texas. A private burial was conducted at the family home underneath the hydrangeas. A memorial service will be held when the family gathers for Easter.

He will be remembered for his sweetness and joy. He loved to chase a tennis ball down the hallway and take naps on the sofa. He always enjoyed helping to cook - he had clean-up duty for anything that fell to the floor. Many bits of pineapple, cantaloupe and green beans accidentally found their way into his path. Fluffy loved the beach and was always happy when summer ended and dogs were allowed back on Wrightsville. He would run straight into the waves or gallop across the sand with abandon.

While it is never easy letting go, we can do so with the hope that he has returned to his Creator and that we will see him again one day. Fluffy made us a better family and we will forever be grateful that God entrusted us to his care. Rest in peace, sweet puppy. You loved, and were loved, well. Selah.
