Hey, Beth...

What in the world? Recent events made me want to throw my hands up in the air, too. And while I have nothing to add to the conversation that hasn't already been posted and snapped and tweeted, I just wanted to join the chorus of voices singing praise to the Lord for your ministry. I'm a better person, and a better Christian because you listened to Jesus calling your name when you were a teenager. Because you have tirelessly proclaimed the Word of God for all these years. Because you fearlessly believe and challenge me to do the same.

I had no idea what it meant to really study the Bible until I signed up for A Woman's Heart, God's Dwelling Place. I went from reading a 2-minute daily devotional to spending 45-minutes-five-days-a-week scrounging around in the scriptures and copying down definitions of Hebrew words in my workbook. Then I'd head up to the church and spend an hour debriefing with a group of women who had done the same thing all week long before piling into the sanctuary to hear this tiny little blonde haired Texas woman on video. (Note to all y'all who have been sticking up for her but haven't participated in one of her studies, get with it. You have no idea what you're missing.)

Beth, your love for the Lord is contagious and I have been blessedly infected. So, hang in there, Girlfriend. Your holy call is still connected - God has not hung up on you. Keep up the good work and as a dear friend reminds me regularly - hold your head high so your crown doesn't fall off. Grace and peace, Dear Sister. Selah.

PS - we'll see you here in Wilmington come April! Can. Not. Wait.
